Clinical education is a foundational component of nursing education. Clinical mentors, preceptors and educator play an important role in the knowledge, skills and attitudes needed to work in a wide-range of clinical specialty settings and to meet practice competencies.
In this beginners' online training course, a series of three modules (with videos) will provide theoretical underpinnings to best practices, an opportunity to explore teaching and learning concepts, an introduction to strategies for the implementation of summative and formative assessment and insights into the inter-play between health literacy, optimal quality and safety outcomes, and the application of teaching and learning strategies in the clinical and simulated environment.
